Project Scope:
Pick a magazine and redesign the masthead, 2 covers (for two different editions), one table of contents spread, and 3 feature article spreads.
Inspiration:
I was inspired by the interplay of space in environments. Because Frame is an interior design magazine, I was inspired by some of the design trends today, modern layouts, and clean aesthetics. I also drew inspiration from blueprints. My aspiration was to transcend the traditional confines of editorial design. While inherently two-dimensional, I aimed for the magazine to transport readers into the immersive spaces in the pictures. The masthead design draws inspiration from a mixture of blueprints, celestial space, and shadows. Through this innovative representation of space, my intention was to craft a captivating showcase of modernism that's both engaging and unique.
Awards:
Honorable Mention Award at the 42nd Annual Student Juried Exhibition

The masthead I designed for Frame is meant to be variable based on the theme of the cover. Here are a few examples of the changing gradient from issue to issue.

Here are my two cover issues for the Magazine. The pink and orange one is the issue of which the following spreads are a part.
